Category Overview
The NeatBraid Extension Mastery™️ is a premier HEBS™️ braiding competition designed to identify elite professional braiders capable of completing a full head of braids—cleanly, consistently, and under pressure—on a live model, in real time.
This category is not conceptual.
It is not partial styling.
It is full-head mastery with extensions, evaluated at championship level.
Competition Format
- Time Limit: 90 Minutes
- Model: Live model required
- Scope: FULL-HEAD BRAIDING ONLY
- Stage: Live, in front of judges and audience
- All competitors work simultaneously under identical conditions.
PROVIDED MATERIALS (IMPORTANT)
To ensure fairness, consistency, and integrity:
Braiding Hair: Provided by Vivace Hair
Styling Product: NeatBraid Gel provided on site
Competitors may not bring substitute braiding hair or styling gels.
This ensures:

Within 60 minutes, competitors must complete
- Using professional feed-in techniques
- With consistent braid size and tension
- Clean, intentional parting
- A finished, client-ready look from every angle
- No section of the head may be left unfinished.
STYLE & TECHNICAL EXPECTATIONS
The finished style must demonstrate:
- FULL-HEAD COMPLETION
- Entire scalp braided
- No loose sections
- No hidden or partially finished areas
- Judges will visually inspect the front, sides, crown, and back.
EXTENSION INTEGRATION
- Seamless feed-in technique
- Entire scalp braided
- Secure anchoring
- Balanced use of Vivace hair
- No slipping, unraveling, or bulky extension points
- The hair must look intentionally installed, not rushed.
PRODUCT DISCIPLINE
NeatBraid Gel must be used for:

- No product mixing allowed
- Judges may verify compliance.
