The NeatBraid Total Look competition is a full presentation category designed to showcase braiding artistry, styling creativity, and complete visual execution.

Competitors must create a polished braided look that includes a clear theme, finished styling, headpiece or ornamentation, and coordinated attire. This category is not only about braid technique. It is about the complete transformation from hair to final presentation.

This is a total look category, evaluated at championship level.

Duration: 90 Minutes

RULES & GUIDELINES

• The final look must include braided styling.
• Braids must be clean, controlled, and professionally finished.
• A visible theme or creative concept must be presented.
• Headpieces, ornaments, accessories, or decorative elements are required.
• Model attire must support the theme and overall presentation.
• Styling must be completed within the competition time.
• Judges will inspect all angles.
• To ensure fairness and integrity:

STRICTLY PROHIBITED

• No substitute braiding hair.
• No outside styling products.
• No product mixing.
• No pre-braiding, pre-parting, or pre-styling.

• No offensive, inappropriate, or culturally disrespectful themes.

ELIGIBILITY

• Model must have natural hair.
• Hair must be clean, fully detangled, and product-free.
• No pre-parting, pre-braiding, or styling.
• Model comfort and safety are mandatory.
• Attire and accessories must allow the model to walk and present safely.

• Look must have a clear theme or creative direction.
• Hair, accessories, headpiece, and attire must work together.

HEADPIECE & ORNAMENTATION

• Headpiece, ornaments, jewels, beads, cuffs, wire, fabric, feathers, or decorative pieces may be used.
• Accessories must be securely placed.
• Ornamentation should enhance the braid design, not hide poor execution.
• Decorative elements must be balanced and visually clean.

NEATNESS & PRODUCT CONTROL — 15 POINTS

• Clean scalp and visible parting
• Smooth finish with minimal frizz
• Proper use of NeatBraid Gel
• No excessive product buildup
• Polished final appearance

THEME & CREATIVE CONCEPT — 20 POINTS

• Clear visual theme
• Strong creative direction
• Hair, attire, and accessories work together
• Concept is intentional and easy to understand
• Originality and visual impact

HEADPIECE & ORNAMENT INTEGRATION — 15 POINTS

• Secure placement of headpiece or ornaments
• Accessories enhance the braid design
• Balanced use of decorative elements
• No bulky, loose, or distracting pieces

ATTIRE & OVERALL PRESENTATION — 15 POINTS

• Attire supports the theme
• Complete head-to-toe presentation

SYMMETRY, BALANCE & FINAL DESIGN — 15 POINTS

• Balanced shape and silhouette
