Barber Olympics – HEBS 2026
The Barber Olympics is where elite talent meets team strategy in one of the most thrilling competitions of the Hair Education Beauty Summit. We invite some of the most well-known and respected barbers in the industry to assemble powerhouse teams and go head-to-head in a high-energy battle of skills, creativity, and precision.
Barbers from across the country will compete in a high-energy, multi-category showdown to prove their versatility, speed, and precision. The Barber Olympics features both individual and team events with a points system that determines the ultimate champion team. Each team will nominate a team member to compete in the individual competitions. The whole team will work together on the final competition (4X1 relay).

Fastest Freestyle Design
- Time Limit: 15 Minutes
- Format: Individuals
- Model Requirements: Model can be pre-cut, but design must be done live.
Judging Criteria:
- Speed of execution
- Sharpness and clean lines
- Symmetry of design
- Difficulty and originality
Category 2
Fastest Drop Skin Fade
- Time Limit: 30 Minutes
- Format: Individual
- Model Requirements: Model can be pre-cut, but design must be done live.
Hair Length Requirements:
- Straight Hair: Minimum #3 guard on top
- Curly Hair: Minimum #1.5 guard on top
- Focus: Execution of a clean, balanced drop skin fade in record time.
Category 3
Best Authentic Viral Cut
- Time Limit: 1 Hour
- Format: Individuals
- Challenge: Replicate one of two viral cuts popularized by Jaylen Rose:
- Curly top with a skin taper
- Low cut with waves and a half-moon part
Judging Criteria:
- Accuracy in replication
- Clean execution
- Overall finish and visual impact

Competition Levels:
- Event Comparison: Like the triple jump—unique and skill-intensive.
- Criteria: Speed, sharpness, symmetry, and difficulty.
- Event Comparison: A 400M sprint—quick but strategic.
- Criteria: Speed, sharpness, symmetry, and difficulty.
- Event Comparison: The high jump—precise steps are critical as the bar is set high.
- Criteria: Speed, sharpness, symmetry, and difficulty.
- Event Comparison: A 1600M run—a longer race requiring consistent speed and precision.
- Criteria: Speed, sharpness, symmetry, and difficulty.
- Event Comparison: The ultimate relay race—team coordination is key.
- Rules:
- Each team member must complete a specific task on the same model.
- Tasks include:
- Cutting hair to the desired length.
- Main shape-up only.
- Beard shape-up only.
- Team members can perform their tasks in any order, but each barber can only complete one part of the cut.
- Criteria: Speed, sharpness, symmetry, and difficulty.

The entry fee includes all-day access for the competitor and one model to the Hair Education Beauty Summit on the day of the competition. Each entry fee covers one model.
Absolutely! Competitors may compete in multiple competitions.
Please note all models need to sign a model release form, which can be filled out at the event.
We have a strict no-refund policy, without exception. If you are unable to attend the event, you may take responsibility for selling your registration to another person.
We have cash prizes and trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Our barbers can win up to $20,000 in cash prizes.
